Bridgeton N. A. Meeting Minutes
The board meeting of the Bridgeton Neighborhood Association was called to order
at 7:07 PM on Wednesday October 19, 2005 at Channel’s Edge.
The following board members and officers were in attendance:
Matt Whitney (Chair), Stan Hart (Treasurer), Lynn Dorman (Secretary), Jon
Peterson, Walter Valenta and Kim Swenson.
Not present:
Mary Hart, Chuck Wilson and Cherry Ann Kolbenschlag.
1. Treasurer’s Report was submitted and unanimously accepted.
2. Columbia Way West advised us they are allowing the owners of houses 7 to 12
to purchase the property on which their floating homes are located. The Board waived a meeting about this as we have no objections.
3. A 3-way stop at the intersections of Gantenbein and Bridgeton will not be
forthcoming. The Board will seek further advice on this.
4. There is a general North Portland meeting for Neighborhood Boards on November 7.
5. Discussion of the Port of Portland’s air cargo traffic information.
6. Discussion of the I-5 Interstate Bridge issues and agreeing to put this on the
agenda for the November 16th general neighborhood meeting.
7. November 5th is the neighborhood cleanup and we may have a paper shredder.
8. General discussion of streetscaping for the neighborhood.
9. Levee Landscaping Committee – A final report will be forthcoming and we shall ask for the committee to be
maintained.
