Bridgeton N. A. Meeting Minutes
Minutes September 14, 2005 Bridgeton Neighborhood Association Meeting
The meeting of the Bridgeton Neighborhood Association was called to order at
7:08 PM on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at the Columbia School. There were 30 residents and guests in attendance.
1. Officer Foesch and Tom Peavey were not able to attend to discuss the
neighborhood police report and a neighborhood watch plan as were listed on the
agenda.
Crimes in the neighborhood and an overview of a neighborhood watch generated a
lively discussion which will continue at the November meeting when Bob and Tom
can be hopefully attend.
2. Fall clean up date moved to November 5 with a focus on the Y at the
Gantenbein/Marine Drive intersection. Three roll offs will be placed along Bridgeton Road and flyers will be posted in
advance. It was suggested that at one of the clean ups - a document shredder be made
available. All thought that was a great idea and we will get information on that.
3. A vote taken on increasing the Board to nine [9] members and it passed
unanimously.
4. Committee Reports
Landscape – meetings with the Drainage District are ongoing and no final decision have yet
been reached
Bike and ped path – the levee area to the West is to be surveyed by the parks department the week
of September 19th
Noise – Kathy Schmidt spoke of the violations of the flight patterns and said to call
503- 460-4100 to register complaints. Planes are supposed to take off in an Eastward direction when the wind is calm
but they are taking a Western direction and some planes are coming in over our
houses when then should be out over the main channel.
Social – The Katrina relief party raised $2000.00
Pizza Mia is celebrating their one year anniversary on September 30th from 7- 11
Channel’s Edge is holding their last Friday wine tasting also on September 30th

Pat Lewin will chair the committee for a neighborhood tag sale next Spring
5. Treasurer’s report
Stan Hart handed out the fiscal year summaries and we are in the black.
