Bridgeton N. A. Meeting Minutes
Minutes  - April 19, 2006 Bridgeton Neighborhood Association Meeting
 

The meeting of the Bridgeton Neighborhood Association was called to order at 7:04 PM at the Columbia School.

There were 24 residents and guests in attendance.

1. Crime Report

 Officer Leonard reported there were two crimes reported in the last 30 days (theft from auto) and for us to be on alert as summer brings forth the stealing of outboard motors.

2. Elections

 32 residents voted for board and officers and were unanimous in their selections.  Board Members: Mary Hart, Lynn Dorman, Mike Gibson, Cherry Ann Kolbenschlag, Jon Peterson, Kim Swenson, Matt Whitney, Chuck Wilson, Walter Valenta.  Officers: Matt Whitney, Chair; Mike Gibson, Vice-Chair; Lynn Dorman, Secretary; Stan Hart, Treasurer.

3. Clean up

Spring clean up is set for April 22 and Steve Lewin said he will take in all metal scrap and donate a portion of what he gets paid back to the BNA.  Thank you Steve.  And thank you Kim and Bob at Channel’s Edge for keeping the volunteers supplied with coffee, water and good cheer.

4. Walking map

The City of Portland Office of Transportation and Kaiser-Permanente will be mailing us transportation option forms.  We can then get information about bikeways, trails, a pedometer and other good information.  For more info go to http://www.pdxtrans,org and click on Northeast Hub.

5. Columbia River Crossing Update

At our next general meeting in June, we will have presentations by the Columbia River Crossing project panel and another by the Portland Park Department on the Bridgton Path

Walter Valenta gave us an update tonight on the Crossing project as he is on that commission.
